Perdre la vue

Exiting an enclosed space towards the city.

Nothing but shapes and blindness.

Not seeing the city anymore.

Beirut vanishes the more you look at her, the more you regret her,

The more you detach from her.

Distorted by human traces that uproot her trees and cut her open, each day a bit more.

Losing sight

Seeing differently

Reclaiming the city.

Keeping not more than a sketch, some touch of color,

Forms, lines and vague silhouettes.

The dazzling intensity of the sun.

Losing sight.
